The quote is by Lora Brody. My alternate quote, attributed to ME, was, "Chocolate: It's what for breakfast!"
I think anyone who has been even skimming this blog for the past few months is well aware of my addiction to Green and Black’s milk chocolate with whole almonds chocolate bar. I felt like some sort of weird pornographer taking these photos for this show-and-tell. I get so EXCITED by good chocolate.
The most heavenly chocolate on the planet earth...damn straight! I don't usually like milk chocolate, but this...this is different.
The WHOLE almonds are key to flavor, texture, and crunch. Chopped almonds just don't do the same thing for me.
The front of the bar is simple and elegant. And as delicious as the back.
Now *you* know where my stash is - in my nightstand drawer. But no one other than me in this house knows. And I shamefacedly admit that I hide the wrappers.
No, I am not PROUD. But it's a sickness.

FILTHY SMUT!
I love that you hide the wrappers. I have a gumball machine filled with M&Ms and I deliberately set it up to accept coins only, and to dole out only a few at a time. Sometimes I only get one m&m for a quarter. What a ripoff! Then I try to unscrew the lid and bypass the coin slot to get at them, but my hand doesn't fit very well. It helps me to laugh at myself and how ridiculous I can be. :)
You should see my husband's nightstand drawer! I posted the photo for a show and tell several months ago. I am a dark chocolate kind of girl.
I am so with you on the almonds!
Andrea - do you prefer milk or dark? if dark - the mint. unless you don't like mint, in which case, I can no longer be your friend. Kidding! then, you want the maya gold (orange). if milk, definitely the whole almond. The caramel is too sweet.
Ah...but did you think of a blog post when you were eating said chocolate?
-J.
God, I need chocolate now. I wonder if my Target has G&Bs. I haven't tried the almond one, mainly because I really don't like milk chocolate, but I'm definitely going to look for the mint.
I found the Maya Gold to be heavier on the spice flavour rather than the orange. The orange is there, but it's sort of a background flavour. That said, I will happily munch on a Terry's Dark Chocolate Orange for hours. Well, minutes, if it's in my hands, but I'm not going to get technical.
That almond chocolate looks SENSATIONAL. I've only ever had the orange and it was sublime.
I'm up too. Nothing quite so glamorous as yours but chocolate all the same.
You've proven, beyond a doubt, that chocolate is downright erotic. Look at that series of photos! You might have even posted a "not suitable for work" disclaimer... :)
On a kind of similar note -- or maybe different -- Guy Davis has a new song called "The Chocolate Man." I love the blues for its double entendres.
