Sryashta spins golden yarn inside which she weaves your fate. (If you are a good and kind person, she may just take matters into her own capable hands and improve it.)
She is the goddess of good fortune and serves as the household assistant of Mokosh, the Slavic earth goddess.
Sryashta is a variant of the Dolya/Nedolya myth.

Yoda Rides a Bike
So the boy has his own blog now--I helped him set it up last night. I figure he's learning computer skills and getting some writing practice in, right? I won't force it on you, but I did want to give you the chance to have a look at the Yoda movie I mentioned months ago. Maybe it's not blockbuster matierial, but it was a fun way to spend a cold afternoon. :-)

Thanks. He's a little dork, but I like him a whole lot.
ya know --
it's a great film...
that is *awesome* - he's on my daily-check list now.
I loved the movie and he's got great song choice too.
What was the song? My son heard the music when I played the video and now wants to hear it over and over again.
The band is Bishop Allen, and the CD the songs are from (there are two songs--one for the "opening credits" and one at the end) is called Charm School.
I think I got the CD from the band's web site, bishopallen.com. If you have throuble with it, though, and you're interested in sharing your actual mailing address . . . let me know. I'll give you my email.
Yeah, Seggie and I both totally dug the music.
