Sryashta spins golden yarn inside which she weaves your fate. (If you are a good and kind person, she may just take matters into her own capable hands and improve it.)
She is the goddess of good fortune and serves as the household assistant of Mokosh, the Slavic earth goddess.
Sryashta is a variant of the Dolya/Nedolya myth.

Dear, dear Joke
I really, really thought the word "Cupdate" in the header would serve as sufficient warning. Sorry about the PTSD. That said, though, try and think of this ordeal as a your chance to see what few men see (or maybe just refuse to acknowledge): Being a woman is very often not about being soft and pretty. It's a tough gig.

Oh, and the TV? Do you think I should go for HD? Would I be a fool not to? Are analog televisions *really* going to become obsolete?
Tell me that and then we'll discuss size and price.
You should absolutely go for HD if you are purchasing a television. If someone was just *giving* you a television, then analog is fine. The difference is unbelievable until you switch/see one in person.
Katy is right. BESIDES, analog TV is worse than Dinosaur technology.
And much like I have to take into account that being a woman is not all flowers and sunshine, you also have to keep in mind that I--and I can't speak for the rest of my people--need my warnings to be condescendingly obvious.
You should have seen the first day (of my post-Honeymoon life) I ever discovered ladies' underclothing in my sink.
