"...the nation that assumes stewardship of the Moon now will inherit stewardship of the galaxy in the coming millennium." - Wilson Greatbatch

I just hit a thousand books on Library Thing, and still have all of the actual library/computer-room books (lots more fiction, most of my history, and all of H's textbooks), and all of the boys' books, plus my old children's books, to do.

Not that it's a competition or anything.

I realize now that, were I filthy rich, I might just be the type to roll around in my money, flinging fistfuls of dollar bills into the air while I capered and cavorted and chortled.
I am not rich.
But I DO have a lot of books.

Do with that what you will.

I saw that you had clicked over the 1000 mark just a little while ago (weel done - I'm on my way to 400 - very slowly!). I had a little look while I was adding some of my own earlier - I noticed that we each have a copy of Sarah Blaffer Hrdy's Mother Nature (a book I thought no-one else would have!) I remember liking it, I think ;-)

When I say "on my way to 400" I mean so far - though I don't think I will pass 1000, but I might come close once I've added the children's books. We'll see.

Well, the books would hurt when they landed. Especially the hardbacks. So I would advise against that capering/cavorting thing.

Cannot stop laughing!!

I don't think I have anywhere near as many as that. But now I'll have to check LT again. I'm in there under sarahlouise.

Yeah, I'm only at 144 books. And most of those are in the "I'll read someday but for now the library can own them." And I haven't gone into the rooms other than this one, and this room has the fewest books, so there you go.

I have about 2800 books and have not seriously considered putting them on Library Thing mostly because, well, that's an insane amount of entry! Sure would be nice, though....

I put 7 books on Library Thing many months ago before I gave up in boredom.

Tell me again, what is the attraction and/or benefit of this thing?
