Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GINA!

I wanted to get you a Jack Lalanne juicer, but maybe I'll just plant you some wheatgrass instead.

(That is a macrobiotic cake, by the way.)

Thanks, all. I had a very nice day, despite the fact that I had to go to work AND school.

I'm 35. January 17th is an awesome birthday, by the way. Teddy's best friend, my friend Kelley, an old co-worker, my late grandfather, Kid Rock, Jim Carrey, Andy Kaufman, Betty White, James Earl Jones (VADER!), and Ben Franklin were all born on 1/17. (I don't necessarily *like* all of those celebrities, by the way, but I mention them because they are celebrities.)

I'll try to post something today--I've got books and macrobiotics to discuss!
