Sryashta spins golden yarn inside which she weaves your fate. (If you are a good and kind person, she may just take matters into her own capable hands and improve it.)
She is the goddess of good fortune and serves as the household assistant of Mokosh, the Slavic earth goddess.
Sryashta is a variant of the Dolya/Nedolya myth.

"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl..."
My six-year-old is lying on his bed, reading Encyclopedia Brown and listening to Pink Floyd.
You should think "I'm glad he's not listening to Hannah freakin' Montana/Avril Lavigne/Rhianna over and over and over and over and OVER again." That's what you should think.

I would be inclined to say, "Shine on, you crazy diamond."
My ten year old listens to Gilbert & Sullivan and drinks wine and is reading Bulfinch's Mythology.
OMG, I think I've bred a Classics professor.
