Sryashta spins golden yarn inside which she weaves your fate. (If you are a good and kind person, she may just take matters into her own capable hands and improve it.)
She is the goddess of good fortune and serves as the household assistant of Mokosh, the Slavic earth goddess.
Sryashta is a variant of the Dolya/Nedolya myth.

"By and large, mothers and housewives are the only workers who do not have regular time off. They are the great vacationless class."*
All of those things are lovely...vacation...what a concept! I would have to say after adding child #2 to our family almost 3 weeks ago now, I despair of ever having a kid not attached to me or crying. It gives me hope to think that someone with 4 kids can have some time off! Maybe in a few years...hope you enjoy every minute of it!
Kristin, don't be too optimistic : ) This was two hours while the big boys were in New Haven with H, and the baby was sleeping. I'll take what I can get, however.
Hogwarts scarves. Seg wants Hufflepuff, and I started his first. Primo wants Ravenclaw. Altho after doing Seg's, I may change up the pattern so Primo's is not a double layer.

and Bruce, we have been sadly remiss re: church this summer. I miss it. Come fall, maybe work schedules will ease up and I can wrangle the boys there.
