Children are given to us to discourage our better emotions. - Saki

This is how Terzo and I spent the better part of our weekend. If there were sound effects, you'd hear him whimpering and snoring.

The doctor, to whom we returned today, has diagnosed double ear infection topped off with a touch of pneumonia - we are awaiting the results of the chest x-rays. I have administered the first dose of kill-everything-that-moves antibiotic, and we have plowed through two bottles of Motrin and are ready to go through another.

It's hard to type with a limpet - er, baby in your arms, so I have gotten no writing done at all in the past 36 hours.
However, as I can't really move much with The Baby propped up on my shoulder, I did manage to get a lot of reading done. Haven't washed my hair, haven't cooked dinner, but by god, I read Black Swan Green and am halfway through The Memory Keeper's Daughter.

Oh my. I've neve been in your situation, but I've certainly been in his. I spent much time at his age in the hospital in an oxygen tent. My heart goes out to both of you.

Oh no, pneumonia! Been there, done that (me, not the children).

Sending huge cyber get better hugs through this stupid machine.

And honeybun? Every time I try to email you, no matter which of the THREE addresses I use, it bounces. I am NOT spam, I pinky promise ... please let me in.

Aw! Poor Terzo. I hope he feels better soon.

And holy crap, the head of hair on that kid! Both of mine were baldies until they were nearly three!

Hope baby gets better soon and that it doesn't rip through the house and get everyone else. Good thing ear infections aren't contagious.

The picture of the spoon slid through your cupboards brings back good memories. :)

Be well.

Poor baby. Pneumonia is SCARY, but you know that.

I hope he feels much better soon.

I have nothing to add to all that's been said except I too hope you are both better soon. And acidophilus after the antibiotics are over to prevent a secondary infection. I learned that the hard way when mine were little.
Be well.

Poppy's kids just went through a bout of that. Yikes.

Badger suggested the Roast Chicken and in Poppy's case it worked.

Badger beat me to the punch with the hair comment. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw that picture.

Hope he's feeling a little better today. Thank God for antibiotics.

That poor, dear, sweaty little head. At least you can hug each other close. Hope he gets better quickly.
He's so blond!
