Mostly because the title is very similar to my new book and I want to know if I'll have to change it.

I am laboring under the delusion I will have time to write after the baby's born. Geraldine Brooks made People of the Book sound interesting. Mary Doria Russell was so funny! None of her books are funny so I wasn't expecting that. I can't wait to read her new novel.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12066257241391122732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10685011.post-217452831932054182008-01-16T14:23:00.000-05:002008-01-16T14:23:00.000-05:00Mary Doria Russell has a book published in 2005 th...Mary Doria Russell has a book published in 2005 that I haven't read ??? Now MY heart is beating faster!

I'm re-reading Touchstone already, because I dragged it out so much the first time, I want to read it again at my normal pace and soak it up. I also bought the Judith Jones memoir today, and book called "Beginner's Greek" by Mark Collins which was recommended to me. Now I need a few days to myself...Sindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13737515424836446496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10685011.post-74582542424037706982008-01-16T11:07:00.000-05:002008-01-16T11:07:00.000-05:00Maureen COrrigan didn't like People of the Book; s...Maureen COrrigan didn't like People of the Book; she called it flat, among other things.Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03753481035768736548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10685011.post-79281852466953808382008-01-16T08:37:00.000-05:002008-01-16T08:37:00.000-05:00Do you read Rob Rummel-Hudson's blog?Do you read Rob Rummel-Hudson's blog?Miz Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09797076536055067930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10685011.post-91327281764175845232008-01-16T07:59:00.000-05:002008-01-16T07:59:00.000-05:00Tonight I spent over $80 at Borders and I blame YO...Tonight I spent over $80 at Borders and I blame YOU my dear bookfiend.

(I went in to purchase Look Me in the Eye for bookgroup as the hold list at the library is so long it'll be too late by the time I get my turn. OK, that wasn't your fault).

But then I spotted the 3 for 2 table and there upon it, sat many books I've read about here on your blog. So, I picked up Eat Pray Love, Water for Elephants, and The Friday Night Knitting Club. I also saw a Kate Atkinson (One Good Turn, or something) but put it back.

Got to the counter to pay and realised why I don't usually buy books except from the op shop. Sweet jesus, nearly a hundred bucks on FOUR books. And one of them was supposedly 'free' in that 3 for 2 deal.

All I can say is they'd better be good! I bought them all on your recommendation! You are bad for my budget, dearest.Susehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14837796439737091649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10685011.post-27843533121332185962008-01-16T01:41:00.000-05:002008-01-16T01:41:00.000-05:00Why am I so excited about a new Mary Doria Russell...Why am I so excited about a new Mary Doria Russell when I haven't even read all her older stuff yet?? I bought a copy of The Sparrow and then foolishly gave it to my brother for Christmas.Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16563414055936087654noreply@blogger.com
